Real Estate
Purchasing a home or commercial piece of real estate is a big commitment that often spans many years. In addition to the commitment, with the purchase of any property there are many moving parts and pieces: the buyer, the seller, lenders (banks, mortgage companies, etc.), property appraisers, title searches, title insurance companies, title insurance policies, property inspections, land surveys, and depending on the size of the transaction many other things could be needed. Because of that, it is very important you have a competent attorney representing you, whether you are the buyer or the seller of a piece of property. We at White Law Firm have been representing buyers and sellers for over 30 years. With us on your side, you can make sure your contract is in good order.
Personal Injury
Having an accident, whether it is a car accident or an accident at work, can be a life-altering event. If you are in a car accident or at work you need to get checked by a licensed doctor to make sure you are okay. There are two important things to know about personal injury cases. (1) If you are hurt at work, worker’s compensation insurance covers your injuries whether you were negligent (at fault) or not. (2) If you are in a motor vehicle accident that was not your fault, the insurance company’s claims adjuster’s job is to save the insurance company money. Because of that many claims adjusters will try to get you to settle your wreck case for much less than you may deserve. Due to these two important factors, it is important you consult with an attorney when you have been injured at work or in a car wreck. We at White Law Firm have extensive experience in helping clients navigate the web of confusion surrounding personal injury cases, and a track record of helping our clients get the compensation they deserve for their injuries.
Estate Planning
There is no denying that a loss of a loved one is traumatizing, and having to step in to be a guardian or conservator for a family member that can no longer take care of their own affairs is challenging, as well as mentally and emotionally draining. To lessen the stressors involved with these tough topics it is important to do the legal planning on the front end with documents like Wills, Powers of Attorneys, Durable Health Care Power of Attorneys, Trusts and other planning documents. When a loved one passes their remaining assets go into a legal process called Probate. The Probate process has the potential to be long and drawn out. We at White Law Firm have helped countless clients through the up front planning phase and assisted many more clients in the overbearing probate process.
